Pasta and Rose Sauce

Pasta with Cream Sauce & Sausage

This is a dangerous meal if you’re trying to behave yourself! Combining the fresh homemade pasta and the cream sauce, this is how you put it together.

Have the pot of boiling SALTED water, at the back of the stove, have your frying pan ready on the front burner, add butter to it so it’s melted and ready for the cooked pasta.  Have your cream sauce close by.

The pasta takes about 4 minutes to cook depending on how you like it and how thick you cut it. Taste it while it’s cooking to be sure it’s done right for you. With tongs remove it from the boiling water and put it right into the melted butter in the frying pan. Coat with the butter, add a bit of salt and cracked pepper. Add a ladle of cream sauce and sausages, mix around with tongs, add some grated Gruyere cheese on top, mix in, add some basil. Plate. Add more cheese. Add more cream sauce over the cheese. Top with basil.

I used half of the pasta to start. I left the rest of the pasta in the saran wrap. When we decided we wanted more, I rolled it out and cut it so it was really fresh. I added more water to the hot water that was already on the back burner. Repeat saucing process.

There’s about a million calories right there!!

No room for desert tonight!!

Are you kidding me cake
