Fried Chicken Tenders & Panko
Yum yum yum, best fried chicken I’ve had!! We’ve dubbed Friday’s around here as Fried Food Friday and tonight these chicken tenders and fried dill pickles started what I hope is a long tradition of great food. Yes it’s fried!! But once a week?? Come on… you have six days to jog, go to the gym, ride a horse, muck a stall. It’s worth it. This is by far the best batter and breading I’ve done so far on this site, so skip the other recipes and dig right into this one!
Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dill (optional)
Garlic powder
Instructions
1
Coat chicken tenders. Let excess drip off. Lay on a thin layer of Panko bread crumbs. Coat well. Only use enough panko for a couple of chicken tenders at a time. Otherwise it gets wet and won't stick to the chicken.
2
Lay them out for several minutes before deep frying. I kid you not, these were perfectly cooked in 3.5 minutes!
