Almost Korean Beef

Fast, easy & Different!

This has a nice unique taste, so you keep putting it in your mouth… saying how good it is, and repeating this process over and over again, identifying all the different tastes that blend so well together. We had left overs, the next day Greg thought it would be good if we added scrambled eggs to it, so I added 3 scrambled eggs to the rice and meat, and yum yum yum. I’ll make this again!! Peas would taste good in this too.

Shown next day with scrambled eggs.

Ingredients

Lean ground beef
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup maple syrup
3 small cloves of garlic, finely minced
2 tablespoons sesame oil
salt & pepper, to taste
2 green onions, finely chopped
beef broth, as needed
BACON
Onion, diced small
Green onion

Instructions

1
Preheat 10" cast iron skillet. (This is the Findlay I restored) Add crisco oil. Add onions. Lay bacon over the top. I find it doesn't stick this way! Don't worry if they do stick a bit because when you put the ground beef in, the sticking is gone.
2
Chop bacon up. I removed all the fatty bits, just left the meat. Add hamburger, cook until done.
3
Add garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Add a bit of beef broth or consume to keep it moist. Add some green onion. Serve and enjoy with rice.
